About Home Gyms While offering the convenience of working out in the comfort and privacy of your own home, home gyms also allow you to focus on specific routines without having to wait in line or switch between a complex array of machines. In addition to improving strength, power, coordination, and muscular endurance, weight training can enhance weight reduction, enhance the immune and cardiovascular systems, and help prevent injuries. In general, home gym machines are compact units designed to strengthen and exercise many parts of the body. While no single home gym can provide a complete strength training solution, they are a convenient way to combine many exercises into a single unit. Some home gyms focus exclusively on upper-body workouts, while other, more advanced units focus on upper- and lower-body conditioning. |

| I was a little dissapointed since it came with no instructions and the box it came into was very old and had holes in it. Other than that, it was fine. |
Had it for a month and love it!

| Great quality and design! Alittle different than free weights but as you adjust to the difference you get very effective workouts. |

| I love it! It fit great into our 3rd bedroom with tons of room to spare. The instructions were easy to follow and the machine was simple to disassemble and reassemble for moving into different areas of the house when needed. Great machine - great workout guide provided also. Worth the money! |

I purchased this machine and loved it at first. It was a little hard to get used to the resistance as I was always an avid weight lifter. I wanted something that was quick and easy. This was the machine.
Now, why I do not use it any longer. As I progressed I felt something was lacking with this machine. I determined it was the power rods. They just do not offer even resistance. What I mean by this is example, a rod is rated at 50 pounds resistance, BUT, that is only when you can get full tension on the rod. Many exercises are situated in a way in which it is not possible to fully contract the power rods. The smaller your body type the more pronounced this will become.
If you are serious about getting and staying in shape I would bypass this machine and take a look at the new machines from Bowflex that no longer use the power rods. |

| Recently purchased. Pricey, but high quality material. Will last many years. One person can assemble but plan on 2 to 3 hours. Recommend working on technique before wanting to upgrade the power rods. You might not need the additional upgrade and save some $$. Also, recommend the $15 purchase of the rod rejuvinator (holds the rods in place when not in use). Would definitely recommend the Bowflex to my friends. |
