| Both books are very informative. I am now just getting into book 2, which is the more practical applications of Dr. Furhman's theory on high density nutrition. |

| I read "Eat to Live" and was very impressed with Dr. Fuhrman's advice. Being a medical professional, I liked how he backed up his information with statistically significant medical studies. Anyone can write a book, but he has researched what he says and is not just speaking his opinion. I was impressed enough to buy this 2-book set and have been using it almost daily. I even bought a high speed blender and am amazed at how good his smoothies taste. His recipes are incredibly nutritious and full of antioxidants and vitamins. After eating like he recommends, my husband and I definitely notice a difference in how we feel. If we binge and eat at a fast food restaurant, we both have indigestion and reflux that we used to think was normal. We don't eat as many greens as he recommends, but have both lost weight without hunger. My cholesterol was 249, and is now 206 just by following his recipes and nutritarian lifestyle. Thank you Dr. Fuhrmann. |

I have always been what I considered a healthy eater except when I just didn't want to. After receiving these books, I pretty much just don't want to not eat healthy. While I may never achieve the final goal of the books (no animal products/fat), I have already changed my thinking, desires, shopping and emptied my pantry of unhealthy products. Losing weight was not my goal, but I have lost 4 pounds with little effort (5' tall, 4 pounds makes a difference.)
I refer to the cookbook and tell everyone I talk to about it. There are two or three recipes I use almost daily, which makes the price of the books worth it by themselves.
